Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Tripunithura terminal, the last station of the first phase of Kochi metro, with an area of 1.35 lakh square feet.

Distance & Capacity
The First phase with 25 stations from Aluva to Tripunithura and will cover a distance of 28.2 km with the capacity of 975 passengers in go.

The first train with differently-abled children will depart from Tripunithura station for Aluva station.

Ticket
The approved ticket price from Aluva to Tripunithura Terminal is Rs 75. However, on the occasion of the inauguration, the current fare of Rs 60 from Aluva to SN Junction will remain unchanged till further notice.

Special feature
Dance Museum is another feature of the station, which has sculptures of various dance forms of Kerala. The Dance Museum will also be open to the public soon.

The second phase
The second phase, which will be constructed with a length of 11.8 km, can be completed in 2025. The government has allocated Rs 379 crore for the second phase of the Kochi Metro.
