7 Honors and Awards Earned by Acharya Lokesh Muni

1. Global Jain Peace Ambassador

At an event in Karnataka on Wednesday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will confer Acharya Lokesh Muni with the title of Global Jain Peace Ambassador. This accolade is due to his efforts in raising the profile of Jainism and India internationally, as well as his commitment to the global promotion of peace and harmony.

2. National Communal Harmony Award

The National Communal Harmony Award was given to Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni by the Indian government in 2010. The award was presented by Indian Vice President Mohd Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

3. Bhaskar Award

Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni received the Bhaskar Award in 2003 in recognition of his leadership heading the Ahimsa Yatra.

Dr. Lokesh received the renowned Naitik Samman of the Gulzarilal Nanda Foundation in 2006 from Honble Smt. Pratibha Patil in recognition of his outstanding contributions to fostering mutual trust, ahimsa, and peace in society.

Acharyashree was awarded the Keys of Milpitas City by Mayor Jose Esteves in recognition of his outstanding work promoting nonviolence, harmony, and cooperation.

6. Honorary Doctorate

In recognition of his exceptional work in the area of interfaith harmony, Acharya Lokesh Muni received an honorary doctorate at the third international conference hosted by the Institute of Education Research and Development India Board of Alternative Medicines. Acharyashree received the award from Japanese Council General Metoyoshinor.

The US House of Representatives honored Jain leader Acharya Lokesh Muni with a congressional proclamation and an official seal. Acharya Lokesh was honored by Congressman Jefferson Van Drew for his contributions to fostering international peace, cooperation, and non-violence.
