Kim Hughes played for Australia from 1977 to 1984, and scored 3837 runs in 103 ODIs. He has 17 50-plus scores, but he too never managed to convert one into a hundred.

Hashmatullah Shahidi is an active player, and has been playing for Afghanistan since 2013. He has scored 2688 runs in 84 ODIs, including 18 50-plus scores. He is still young and has a chance to break Misbah-ul-Haqs record, but he will need to convert some of his 50-plus scores into hundreds.

Misbah-ul-Haq is the player with the most 50-plus scores without a hundred in ODIs. He played for Pakistan from 1996 to 2015, and scored 5122 runs in 162 ODIs. He has 42 50-plus scores, but unfortunately never managed to convert one into a hundred.
