From Shekhar to Shami, Indian cricketers who had CONTROVERSIAL divorce
Shikhar Dhawan
Dhawan and Aesha got hitched in 2012. While it was Ayeshas second marriage and she already had two kids, it was first for Dhawan. But things got worse in 2023 when she refused to live in India and stayed in Australia with her son, not allowing Dhawan to meet him. In 2023, Delhi Court granted divorce to Dhawan on grounds of mental cruelty inflicted upon him by his wife.

Dinesh, who recently announced his retirement from IPL, had married his childhood friend Nikita Vanjara in 2012. Later it came to limelight that Nikita was in relationship with Murali Vijay, teammate of Dinesh. This led to their divorce in 2015. Second marriage of Dinesh was to squash player Dipika Pallikal in 2021.

Hasin Jahan, the Indian fast-bowler Mohammad Shamis estranged wife, filed a complaint accusing him of adultery and domestic abuse in 2018. The cricket player, however, has consistently refuted the accusations, claiming they are untrue and part of a plot to damage his reputation. The former couple has been divorced since 2018.
