1. First Residential University

    The Monastery was destroyed, the monks were killed, and the priceless library was burned by the invader Bakhityar Khilji at the end of the 12th century.

    Its among the most well-known universities as well. In its prime, it hold 2,000 teachers and more than 10,000 students.
