First Telangana Legislative Assembly election

    Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won 63 seats and formed the government. K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) sworn in as the first Chief Minister of Telangana.

2018

    On December 13, KCR dissolved the Legislative Assembly and called for early elections. After holding the elections, the second time in 2018, TRS won 88 seats and retained power. KCR again sworn in as Chief Minister for a second term.

2019

    On October 12, Assembly approved the addition of another MLA, bringing the total number of seats to 119.

Lok Sabha Elections 2019

    Telangana Lok Sabha election took place in May 23. TRS won 9 seats, BJP won 4 seats, and INC won 3 seats.

Assembly Elections 2023

    The tenure for Telangana Legislative Assembly is come to an end on January 16, 2024. Polling for the third Telangana Legislative Assembly election is scheduled to held on November 30. Results for the same will be out on December 3, 2023.
