The Porsche car allegedly driven by the 17-year-old minor, who the police claim was drunk at the time, knocked down two IT professionals in the Kalyani Nagar area of the city in the early hours of Sunday.

Registration Of Car Was Pending

Since road tax is exempted for electric vehicles, the registration of the Porsche Taycan amounted to only Rs 1,758 and has been pending since March, according to the Maharashtra Transport Department. Now, the teen has been barred for driving till age of 25 years.

Teen Spent Rs 48,000 At The Bar

The 17-year-old accused driver spent Rs 48,000 at the Cosie Pub in 90 minutes with his friend to celebrate the Class 12 result. They moved to the second pub, Blak Mariott, at around 12:10 am after Cosie stopped serving them.

Action From Excise Department

The Pune Excise Department sealed the Cosie Bar and Black Bar in Pune on Tuesday, which had allegedly served liquor to the minor accused in connection with the Pune rash driving case.

Bail Granted Within 15 Hours

The court granted bail to the minor on some conditions, which included 15 days of work with the Yerwada traffic police, composing an essay about accidents, getting treatment for his alcoholism, and attending counseling sessions.

Realtor's Escape Plan and Arrest

After nationwide outrage, the Police registered an FIR against the father of the minor. Following this, the prominent Pune realtor was on the run. Through GPS police tracked him, and arrested the realtor from Sambhajinagar. He will be produced in court today.

Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshtha, both IT engineers hailed from Madhya Pradesh and were returning from a get-together on a bike when the Porsche, reportedly at a speed of 200 km per hour, hit them from behind. Both died on the spot.
