A former cricketer turned politician, Gautam Gambhir represents East Delhi as a Member of Parliament (MP). Jayant Sinha

Shortly after Gambhir, former Union minister Jayant Sinha also expressed his decision not to contest elections to focus on addressing global climate change. His message on X stated, ...I can focus my efforts on combating global climate change in Bharat and around the world.

Nitin Patel

Former Gujarat Chief Minister Nitin Patel declared his decision not to contest polls without specifying any reasons. Although the party had not declared its candidate for Mehsana on Saturday, he was considered among the contenders for the constituency.
