NO TEST AT GOVERNMENT RTO

Individuals can now obtain their drivers license without taking a government-administered training exam at the Regional Transportation Office (RTO). Private institutions are authorized to conduct exams and issue licenses instead.

CHANGES IN THE PROCESS

Candidates can now finish the full procedure online using a website, cutting down on the amount of time they must wait in person at the RTO offices. Furthermore, distinct criteria have been implemented for various vehicle classifications.

STARTING A TRAINING CENTER?

A private driving instruction center operator or prospective owner must fulfill specific requirements, such as those related to land area requirements and trainer qualifications, in order to be accredited.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

The minimum age to apply for a new drivers license is 18. One needs to fill out the online application form, upload the required files, and make the required online payment to proceed.
