Who can apply?
Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis, and Christians from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Individuals from these communities who entered India before December 31, 2014. Undocumented immigrants (those who entered without valid documents or overstayed their visa) belonging to the mentioned religious groups.

Affidavit
An Affidavit in a fixed format which is available on the website has to be submitted on the stamp paper after attested by a Judicial Magistrate or an Executive Magistrate or an Oath Commissioner.

Residence requirements
Must have resided in India for at least the last year before applying. Must have resided in India for at least 5 years out of the previous 14 years.

Proof Requirements
Copy of Visa and immigration stamp on arrival in India. Certificates issued by Foreigners Regional Registration Officer (FRR) and Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) in India.

Other Documents
Ration Card, Driving License or Aadhaar Card issued by government or birth certificate issued by Government of India. Registered rental agreement in India in the name of the applicant. PAN Card issuance document bearing the date of issuance. Any other document issued by the Central Government or State Government.

How the certificate will be issued?
The applicant who will apply for grant of citizenship of India will be issued a digital certificate of registration. The hard copy of the certificate of registration will be issued only if the person has opted for the same at the time of application. the same can be collected from the office of Empowered Committee.
