Women Representation
This year India is celebrating their 75th Republic Day. One aspect that has been emphasized during the event is that there will be more female representation. The Delhi Police has formed a contingent consisting of 100% women.
Themes
There are 2 themes for this year, Viksit Bharat meaning Developed India. and Bharat - Loktantra ki Matruka meaning India - Mother of Democracy. These themes reflect the nations democratic ethos and aspirations.
Parade Route
The area allocated for the parade route is from Vijay Chowk to Kartavya Path. The nations progress is symbolized through this route. The route stretches to be 5 km long.
Tableaux
States and Union Territories will be represented through the cultural and developmental achievements that will be featured in the tableaux.
Indian Air Force's Aerial Show
The Indian Air Forces magnificent flypast, which displays the countrys aviation capability, raises the celebration to unprecedented heights.
The 'Tangail' formation
This formation is an amazing display by the Indian Air Force. It comprises of two Dornier Do-228 aircraft positioned in front of the historic Dakota aircraft.
At-Home Function
In addition to the main festivities, on January 24, 2024, PM Narendra Modi will hold the At-Home Function. The 75th Republic Day celebrations are slated to culminate with the PMs NCC Rally on January 27, 2024, and the Beating Retreat event on January 29, 2024.
MyGov Online Competition
MyGov will conduct an online competition where participants can sing or play Indian songs in praise of the soldiers sacrifices and patriotism. The best entries will earn prizes. This makes the Republic Day celebrations more participatory and inclusive.
