Maharashtra
Maharashtra has the highest number of divorces in India. The state records 18.7 per cent of divorces in India, which is significantly higher than all the other states.
Karnataka
The southern state of Karnataka places second for divorce rates in India. The state has a divorce rate of 11.7 % in the country.
Uttar Pradesh
The largest and most populated Indian state places third on this list. The state records an 8.8 per cent divorce rate in India.
West Bengal
West Bengal also finds its way to the list of states with the most divorces in India. This eastern state records a percentage of 8.2 per cent.
Delhi
Residents of Delhi also seem to face relationship problems as the national capital records a 7.7 per cent divorce rate.
Tamil Nadu
Another southern state that makes this list is Tamil Nadu. This state has a 7.1 per cent divorce rate.
Telangana
Telangana witnessed high divorces as the state records a divorce rate of 6.7 per cent.
Kerala
The southern coastal state of Kerala stands last on this list as the state records a divorce rate of 6.1 per cent.
