The famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, is scheduled to be visited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 30. PM Modi will be participating in deep meditation at the Dhyan Mandapam, the former meditation site of Swami Vivekananda, as part of this tour, which is meant to be a spiritual retreat.

How to reach?
If you start your trip from Bengaluru the cheapest way to get there is through train which will cost you between Rs 430 to Rs 2100, taking around 18 hours and 43 minutes.

Ferry services available
Entry fee is Rs. 20 per person. Additionally, the cost of the ferry from the mainland to the rocks is very cheap, at just Rs. 50 per person. There is no waiting period if you purchase a special ticket for Rs. 200 per person and want to skip the line at the ferry booking. It is open from eight in the morning till four in the evening.

The best time to visit
The best time to visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial is from October to March when the weather is pleasant and conducive for sightseeing. The memorial remains open throughout the year, allowing visitors to choose their preferred time for a visit.
