1. United States Capitol

This structure from the National Mall in Washington, D.C., is among the list of the worlds most iconic buildings. It is symbolic of representative democracy and since 1800 has been home to Congress.

2. New York State Capitol

The capitol has a reflecting pool in the premises which symbolizes the Pacific Ocean that surrounds the building.
