Amarnath Ghosh was a graduate student in the Arts and Sciences-Performing Arts Department at the University of Washington in Missouri. The Kolkata-born Bharatnatyam and Kuchupudi dancer was reportedly shot and killed in St. Louis, Missouri, by an unidentified attacker.

Indian Consulate in Chicago
The consulate announced that it will take up the case with the Washington University and the St Louis police. A statement was provided on March 1, conveying that the consulate is working alongside the police to conduct a forensic, investigation.
