Meet Jagrut Kotecha: Newly Appointed CEO of PepsiCo India

Jagrut Kotecha has been appointed the new CEO of PepsiCo India. He has been working for PepsiCo for several years and has worn many hats within the company.

Previous CEO

Jagrut Kotecha will be succeeding Ahmed El Sheikh as the CEO. Ahmed El Sheikh is moving to the position within the company as CEO of the Middle East Business Unit.

Education

Jagrut Kotecha holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai. He also attended SVKMs Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) from where he completed an MBA degree in Marketing.

Previous Experience

Before joining PepsiCo Mr Kotecha worked at Cadbury India in the sales department. He worked there for two years from 1992 to 1994.

Global Endeavors

Mr Jagrut Kotecha has worked in various locations. From 2000 to 2002 he was placed in Thailand. In 2002 he was in ASPACD. From the years 2006 to 2010 he was based in Mongolia. He has also worked in the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Brunei/Pacific.

His Journey in PepsiCo

Mr Kotecha started working for the company in 1994 and has now been serving in PepsiCo for 30 years. His first role in the company was in the sales and marketing team. He has been working as the Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for AMESA since January 2020 until recently.
