Must-Wait For: 7 Anticipated Cars Launching in India

1. New Kia Carnival

Kia is set to launch the fourth-generation Carnival with a revamped exterior and interior. The cabin will feature upscale tech, while retaining the familiar 2.2L diesel engine delivering 200 PS and 440 Nm.

2. Maruti Suzuki eVX

Maruti Suzuki’s first electric car, the eVX, will begin production in early 2025. It will have a 60 kWh battery offering a 550 km range and will be based on a derivative of Toyota’s 27PL platform.

3. Mahindra Thar 5-Door

In August, Mahindra will unveil the five-door Thar, possibly named Thar Armada. It will have larger dimensions, a premium interior with a larger touchscreen, and a digital cluster. Engine options include a 1.5L diesel, a 2.0L petrol, and a 2.2L diesel.

4. New Skoda Kodiaq

The second-generation Skoda Kodiaq, launching later this year, will be built on the MQB Evo platform with larger dimensions. It features a sharper design and more advanced interior while keeping the 2.0L turbo petrol engine (190 PS and 320 Nm) paired with a seven-speed DSG.

5. Kia Syros

Expected to debut by the end of 2024, the Kia Syros will be a compact SUV positioned above the Sonet. It may initially share engines with the Sonet and will eventually offer a hybrid and an all-electric version.

6. Tata Curvv

Launching in its electric form in the second half of 2024, the Tata Curvv will feature a 1.2L petrol and a 1.5L diesel engine in its ICE version. The Curvv EV will boast a range of over 500 km and a unique SUV coupe design.

7. Mahindra BE.05

The Mahindra BE.05, part of a new line of electric SUVs, will feature a futuristic cabin and a dedicated skateboard architecture. It is expected to offer a range of over 450 km.
