Woman poses as customer, steals three pairs of slippers from showroom; CCTV footage goes viral

A strange theft case has come to light from a shoe showroom at Shiv Chowk in Muzaffarnagar. A woman disguised herself as a shopper and wisely stole three pairs of sandals before escaping. The whole incident was caught on the CCTV camera of the showroom, and the clip is now going viral on social networking sites.

As told by employees in the showroom, the lady spent a little time checking various colors and patterns, chatting with the employees along the way. When the staff was busy dealing with other shoppers, she quickly pocketed three pairs of slippers into her bag and just left as though nothing was wrong.

The CCTV footage of the theft has gone viral on social media. While some users are laughing at the incident, others are highlighting that stealing, however small, is a crime. Many are calling for severe action against the woman to deter such acts in the future.

Local authorities have confirmed that they are identifying the suspect using the CCTV footage. "Investigations are also underway to determine if she is part of a larger theft ring," a police officer stated.

Showroom manager files complaint

The theft was unearthed by the store manager when he conducted normal stock verification. After watching the CCTV footage, the crime was established, and he lodged a formal complaint with the Nagar Kotwali police station, seeking action against the accused.

This incident has alarmed local shopkeepers. Several traders have demanded better security and are urging other shopkeepers to get CCTV cameras installed to avoid such thefts. "These small thefts make a big difference and cause huge financial losses."
