In a bizarre case from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, a class 12 boy and girl declared themselves married through a WhatsApp chat, shocking their families and authorities. The two minors, deeply in love, typed "Kabool Hai" three times in their conversation, considering it an official nikah (marriage acceptance). The incident has now reached the police, as both insist on staying together despite their families' strong opposition.

The love story turns into a police case

The boy, a resident of Pankaj Market in the city, and the girl, from Bochahan police station area, had reportedly been in a relationship for two years. Their digital nikah became a serious matter when their families discovered the conversation, leading to a strict crackdown on their communication. Both students had their phones confiscated, and their meetings were completely restricted.

The issue escalated further when, unable to meet his girlfriend during their ongoing intermediate exams, the boy started behaving erratically. In distress, the girl’s sister approached the city police station for intervention.

Mobile chats reveal startling evidence

Upon investigating the boy’s mobile phone, the police found WhatsApp chats where the girl had indeed written "Kabool Hai" three times, indicating her acceptance of marriage. The chats also revealed that she had begun applying vermilion, considering herself married. Additionally, multiple photos of the couple and details of their secret meetings were discovered.

Families oppose, but boy stands firm

The situation is further complicated by the fact that the two belong to different communities, intensifying concerns among their families. While the police are actively trying to mediate, the boy remains firm on his decision to be with the girl. His sister revealed that he has become so fixated on the relationship that he has started distancing himself from his family. At present, authorities are monitoring the case closely, attempting to pacify both families and ensure that the situation does not escalate further.
