Around 5,000,000 Indians dying due to medical negligence every year. Despite of it, there are many reports of medical negligence which comes up in light now and then. Now, in a bizzare incident, a pharmacist of a primary health center in Bharua Sumerpur police station area of the district gave ear drops to a girl instead of eye drops. After this, due to the spread of infection, the girl's face and throat became swollen, after which the girl was brought to the PHC of the town in a critical condition.
On April 10, Roshni (21), a resident of Vidokhar Medni, went to the primary health center of the village for treatment after complaining of redness and burning sensation in the eyes. Where the doctor prescribed eye drops to the girl, after which when the girl went to the pharmacist to get the medicine, instead of eye drops, she was given ear drops. When the girl put eye drops in her home in the evening, her face became swollen.
After all this, she was referred to Sadar Hospital, but here also the doctors gave up and the girl was referred to Kanpur.
At the same time, the girl's brother Ajay Kushwaha says that this incident happened due to the negligence of the pharmacist. Sister is also going to get married this year, but due to wrong medicine she could have lost her eyesight. At present, the doctors of Sadar Hospital have referred the girl to Kanpur. Treatment of victim is underway.
