A video surfaced online showcased a moment of bravery by a railway staff member who averted a potential tragedy at Pune train station. The incident occurred as a passenger attempted to board the moving Udyan Express train on Thursday. 

In the footage, Digambar Desai, a member of the MSF (Medical Sans Frontieres) staff, sprung into action when he noticed the passenger losing balance and falling perilously close to the tracks. Desai's quick response prevented the passenger from further harm, with assistance later provided by a Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel.

The video was captured by CCTV on March 27, and gained attention after being shared by Pune Division's official account, eliciting praise for Desai's courageous intervention.

Desai's act highlights the dedication of railway staff to passenger safety. Railway authorities seized the opportunity to remind passengers of the dangers associated with attempting to board or disembark from moving trains.

DRM Pune posted on its X account, "Passengers are requested to avoid boarding or deboarding running trains. Your safety is our priority."
