For the seventh consecutive year, Indore in Madhya Pradesh has clinched the title of India's cleanest city, an achievement attributed to its robust waste management system and community-driven initiatives. The city's exceptional cleanliness recently caught the attention of US vlogger Max McFarlin, who shared his impressions in a widely circulated video. 

Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, also lauded Indore's efforts, underscoring its potential to set a national precedent.

Hygiene practices highlighted by McFarlin

In his video, McFarlin showcased Indore's roadside eateries, emphasizing the meticulous waste segregation and hygiene protocols observed by locals. From separate bins for used steel plates to readily available handwashing facilities, the city's commitment to cleanliness left a lasting impression.

Reports suggest that Indore allocates significant resources—₹200 crore annually—to waste management endeavors. With a fleet of 850 vehicles collecting over 1,500 tonnes of waste daily, the city sets a high standard for waste disposal and recycling.
