Some horrific pictures have surfaced from Thailand where a ferry has caught fire early on Thursday. According to the sources, a night ferry carrying 108 people caught fire near Koh Tao, a popular tourist island in the Gulf of Thailand.

The fire broke out around 6:40 am local time. Some passengers reported hearing a crackling sound and smelling smoke just before the fire started. The situation became chaotic, with some passengers jumping into the sea to escape the flames. Fortunately, nearby boats were able to rescue all passengers and crew members.

According to the sources, there were 97 passengers and 11 crew members on board. Reportedly, some minor injuries from smoke inhalation have come to light, but no serious casualties.

Meanwhile, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
