Noida: In a shocking incident in Noida's Salarpur area, Abdul Aziz, hailing from Bihar's Kishangunj, faced a vicious attack while collecting donations for a mosque and madrasa back home. The assault occurred around 12:30 pm on Tuesday, perpetrated by an individual identified as Neeraj Bhati.

Why was he asaulted? 

Eyewitnesses recounted that Neeraj Bhati, reportedly in an inebriated state, launched a brutal assault on Abdul Aziz. The attacker forcibly grabbed Abdul Aziz by his beard and subjected him to physical violence. The incident unfolded amidst the horrified gaze of onlookers, prompting swift intervention.

Response and police action

Promptly responding to the distress call, concerned citizens rallied to Abdul Aziz's aid and alerted the authorities. Subsequently, a complaint was lodged with the police, detailing the heinous attack on Abdul Aziz by Neeraj Bhati.

Complaint filed against accused

In accordance with the victim's complaint, law enforcement authorities have taken the accused, Neeraj Bhati, into custody. An FIR (First Information Report) is in the process of being filed, marking the initiation of legal proceedings against the perpetrator.
