New Delhi: In a disturbing incident unfolding at Mahoba district hospital in Uttar Pradesh, a video capturing Dr. RP Singh assaulting patient Akash Upadhyay has surfaced. The altercation allegedly originated from a dispute regarding medical treatment and prescription practices.

Violent confrontation caught on camera

The footage reveals Dr. Singh physically attacking Upadhyay, administering kicks and punches to his abdomen, and mercilessly thrashing him on the ground before dragging him out of the chamber. Shockingly, bystanders remained passive, failing to intervene in the violent altercation.

Dispute over treatment methods

According to reports, the altercation erupted when Upadhyay raised concerns about Dr. Singh prescribing medications sourced from outside the hospital. Allegedly, Dr. Singh accused Upadhyay of soliciting money to purchase alcohol, a claim vehemently denied by the patient.

The circulating footage, gaining traction across social media platforms, has triggered widespread outrage among the public. Viewers have expressed shock and condemnation at the aggressive behavior exhibited by the doctor towards the patient.

Legal action initiated

In response to the incident, the District Magistrate (DM) of Mahoba has ordered a comprehensive investigation. An FIR (First Information Report) has been lodged against Dr. RP Singh, with authorities actively pursuing additional evidence and witness statements to ascertain the full scope of the altercation.

Allegations of misconduct

In a separate incident, an objectionable video involving a Lucknow-based doctor, identified as Dr. Jitendra Kumar, has surfaced online. The video purportedly depicts Dr. Kumar engaging in inappropriate behavior with a veiled woman, suspected to be a patient seeking medical treatment.

Misuse of position

Reports suggest that Dr. Kumar, stationed at the health center in Mohini Purva of Hussainabad, stands accused of exploiting his position to engage in misconduct with vulnerable patients under the pretext of medical treatment.
