New Delhi: A harrowing accident unfolded on the highway in Siddipet district, Telangana, leaving four individuals injured. The terrifying incident, which occurred on Saturday (February 24), was captured on camera, and the video has since been circulating on social media platforms.
The footage reveals a speeding car on the Rajiv Highway at Kukunoor Palli in Siddipet losing control and colliding with the divider. Subsequently, it collided with another car approaching from the opposite direction on the opposite side of the road.
In the video, a black car hits the divider and is propelled into the air, landing on the other side of the divider where vehicles were traveling at high speeds. A white car approaching from the opposite direction collides with the black car that had crossed the divider.
The collision, captured on camera, depicts a significant impact, resulting in extensive damage to both vehicles involved. Reports indicate that approximately four individuals sustained serious injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Out of the four injured individuals, two are reported to be in critical condition, highlighting the severity of the accident. The absence of a barrier between the two roads contributed to the black car crossing over to the opposite side.
Criticism has been directed towards the lack of road safety measures, particularly the absence of barriers, despite toll charges imposed by the government. The incident underscores the urgent need for enhanced road safety measures to prevent such accidents in the future.
The accident serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of prioritizing road safety initiatives to safeguard commuters and prevent tragic incidents like these from occurring.
