In a serious incident, a huge part of the roof of a mall collapsed in the Vasant Kunj area of South Delhi in the early hours of Monday. This incident happened in Ambience Mall. According to reports, no injuries were reported as it took place past midnight. During the incident, maintenance work was underway in the mall. However, after the accident the mall was closed for a day as a precautionary measure. The mall will be reopened to the general public on Tuesday.In the visuals seen from the spot, debris can be seen scattered on the escalators, railings and clouds of smoke can be seen everywhere.Its raining collapses in Malls in NCR. Even before this, such cases have been coming to light. On Sunday, two people died when an iron grille fell from the fifth floor of a mall in Greater Noida. Both the persons were residents of Ghaziabad. This grill was installed for fencing in the mall and many parts of it are still under construction. The victims were walking towards an escalator on the ground floor of Galaxy Blue Sapphire mall when the iron structure collapsed from the fifth floor, killing them instantly.
