Over 100 passengers were left in a nerve-wracking situation after a flight bound for Malaysia experienced a jolt after taking off from Hyderabad. According to the sources, the flight MH 199, was carrying 138 passengers and was forced to make an emergency landing due to fire in the engine.
The flight took off at 12:35 am on Thursday and was in the air for two hours before landing safely landing at Shamshabad. Passengers reported a technical problem mid-flight, leading to the precautionary landing.
It was learnt that the engine experienced some technical malfunction, which caused a spark in the engine. Reportedly, all the passengers of the flight are still stranded at the airport.
It should be noted that this is not the first instance of any such event. Another such incident has been reported from a New Zealand-bound flight where due to severe turbulence when a passenger was scalded by hot coffee and a crew member was catapulted to the aircraft ceiling. Reportedly, the incident happened on June 16, when the Airbus A320 was flying from Wellington to Queenstown.
