Due is the Founder and CEO of Acko, which is a general insurance company. He obtained a BA from the University of Mumbai. After this, he completed his Master's from the business school MICA (Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad).
2010 saw the launch of Varun Dua's business, GlitterBug Technologies. Before founding Acko in 2016, he co-founded the internet insurance company Coverfox in 2013.
Coverfox is an online platform that helps in making insurance purchases easier. GlitterBug Technologies is a company based in Mumbai that focuses on product and marketing solutions.
Acko takes on a direct approach making it a unique insurance company. They do not use intermediaries and instead sell insurance directly to consumers online. This streamlines the procedure, facilitating individuals in obtaining the necessary coverage.
Acko's customer-focused strategy immediately became well-known. Also, they collaborate with other businesses, such as Ola and Zomato, to guarantee that customers have access to insurance whenever they need it.
Having experienced tremendous growth since their founding, they are currently valued at more than $1 billion, making them a "unicorn." Furthermore, Acko's influence extends beyond insurance; they sponsor sports teams, such as those in the Indian Premier League. This adds to their brand appeal as they focus on more than just business and the corporate realm.
Varun Dua's wife Sapna Rana, became the music head of Acko, in 2012. The couple are dog lovers and have extended their efforts towards rescuing several of them.
