New Delhi: In a bizarre incident from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a roadways bus conductor issued a ticket for a rabbit. This unusual event led to a heated dispute and prompted an official inquiry. The incident occurred when Paras Agarwal, a resident of the city Kotwali area, was traveling from Bareilly to Badaun with a rabbit he had purchased from Qutubkhana. He boarded a bus at the Bareilly Roadways Bus Station, carrying the rabbit in a cage on his lap. To his surprise, the bus conductor issued two tickets of Rs. 75 each for the rabbit, and an additional ticket for himself. This unexpected action by the conductor sparked a dispute.

Official complaint and inquiry

Feeling wronged, Paras Agarwal contacted his friend Vikendra Sharma, who is an animal lover, and together they lodged a complaint with the Transport Corporation. The issue quickly caught the attention of the officials, prompting the ARM (Assistant Regional Manager) of Bareilly Depot, Sanjeev Srivastava, to order an investigation.

Roadways officials respond

ARM Sanjeev Srivastava confirmed receiving the tickets issued for the rabbit. He mentioned that he was currently out of the office but assured that both parties involved would be called in for questioning upon his return. "The tickets have reached my office. Once I am back, we will listen to both sides of the story and take appropriate action," Srivastava stated.
