The gender revelation of his unborn child landed a Tamil YouTuber in legal trouble. Tamil Nadu health department has issued a notice to the food vlogger Irfan after he posted a video on social media revealing the gender of his unborn child at a party in Chennai.

The soon-to-be father is being sued for breaking the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PC-PNDT) Act, which was violated by the gender reveal party he threw.

Irfan received a notice from the State Enforcement Officer and the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services for violating the Act, which forbids the identification and publicizing of an unborn child's gender in India.

The vlogger and his spouse may be seen in the May 18 video going through a sex determination test at a Dubai hospital. The video first shows them attending a hospital appointment on May 2 and then shows them throwing a "gender reveal" celebration in Chennai. While sex determination tests are prohibited in India, Irfan notes in the video that they are allowed there.

The vlogger's videos from the Dubai trip garnered millions of views on his YouTube channel, which boasts 4.28 million subscribers. Whereas the over 2 million views were alone attracted to the gender reveal party that he threw in Chennai.

In the video, Irfan expressed his desire to have a baby girl and shared his joy after discovering the baby’s gender.
Now, in the legal notice, the health department has asked the cybercrime authorities to take legal action against the controversial video posted by the Youtuber and asked for action.
