The man actually got married to her picture and fulfills all the responsibilities of a husband. Being a die hard fan of the actress the man's only dream was to marry her, but unfortunately he was unable to fulfill his dream so he thought of marrying her picture and will behave as her husband throughout his life.

The name of this person is OP Mehra. After hearing the news of Sridevi's death, OP Mehra, who considered Sridevi as his wife, performed all the same rituals that a husband performs after the death of his wife. The death anniversary of the famous late actress Sridevi is now celebrated every year in this village and the entire village is invited and a feast is served and a tribute meeting is also organized.

The entire village gathers for this feast and tribute meeting and people offer garlands to Sridevi's photo and observe silence in the tribute meeting.  OP Mehra, who considers late actress Sridevi as his wife, lives in Daduni village of Sheopur. Every year on 24 February, OP Mehra holds a condolence meeting on Sridevi's death anniversary and then organises a Kanya Bhoj. OP Mehra considers late Sridevi as his wife, due to which he did not marry any other woman. With the help of the same photograph of Sridevi with whom he got married, OP Mehra is still living his life alone.

Villager Kunjbihari Chaudhary says that he performed all the rituals according to Hindu customs on Sridevi's death. He also fed 101 girls of the village. Like every year, this year too, on 24th February, on Sridevi's death anniversary, a tribute meeting was organized in which a large number of men, women and children of the village participated.
