In a tragic incident, a 22-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death by her boyfriend in Noida. Later, the man attempted suicide by cutting his own throat with a blade. The 42-year-old man, accused of murder, has been apprehended by the police and is currently receiving medical treatment. What happened exactly The couple identified as Nisha and Dhananjay were in a relationship for about a year. But, on wednesday, an argument over some issue led to him strangling her to death. Identity of deceased During the investigation, the woman was identified as Nisha, a native of Ballia district who was staying in Delhi, and the man was identified as Dhananjay Kumar, who lived in Chhijarsi village in Noida. Both of them were in a relationship for about a year, the officer informed.Police action on this matterHirdesh Katheriya, Additional DCP, Central Noida said, that sector 63 Police Station was reported about the murder in Chhijarsi at around 10PM on wednesday by local residents. Also, informed that the man is currently hospitalized and is undergoing treatment.Mr Katheriya said, When the police team reached the murder site, they found the couple in an injured state and took them to the hospital where the woman was declared dead, and the man was admitted to treat the injuries on his throat.Mr Hirdesh Katheriya informed us that the man is booked for murder under IPC Section 302 (murder) and would be presented in local court after hes discharged from the hospital.Reason still not clearThe police are conducting a probe to figure out the reason for the argument that caused this violent attack on the woman to take place.
