Many tourists found themselves stranded in a forest in Uttarakhand after unexpected heavy rainfall in the region. Vehicles, including safari jeeps and cars, were queued up on a road within the Ramnagar Forest (West) division, as tourists were there for sightseeing. The adverse weather conditions forced a pause in exploration activities, with visuals showing a long, waterlogged stretch of roadway lined with stranded cars and jeeps.

Video Captures the Ordeal

A video uploaded by journalist Ajit Rathi revealed several vehicles stuck on the waterlogged route inside Ramnagar Forest. Tourists were seen seated inside the jeeps, waiting for the rain to subside. Sharing the footage on X (formerly Twitter), Rathi informed viewers about the situation, highlighting how tourists were trapped due to the sudden downpour. He also advised against visiting forests during the monsoon season.

Advice to Avoid Monsoon Visits

The video served as a warning to potential visitors, emphasizing the unpredictability of weather in forested regions during monsoon. The incident underscored the importance of checking weather forecasts and being prepared for sudden changes when planning such trips.
