Threads rolls out 'Trending Topics' feature: Here's everything that you need to know

Threads, Meta's rival platform to X, is getting a new feature. The 'trending now' function attempts to give users insight into the types of discussions taking place inside Threads. Mark Zuckerberg revealed the functionality in a Threads post."Together with threads, you can see what people are talking about when Trending Now rolls out to the US today." AI and the future! 

Since February, the feature has been tested. It can now be found in users' For You feeds and on the Threads search page. It finds a few subjects using AI, depending on what users are now interested in.  There are presently only five trending topics displayed in the limited "trending now" feature. "Content specialists" are employed by Meta to review issues and make sure safety regulations are followed. In the US, it is currently accessible.
