Chhattisgarh: A man from Chhattisgarh’s Durg has left the internet in disbelief after a shocking video surfaced, showing him jumping from the roof of a three-story building onto high-tension wires and surviving the ordeal. The incident, which occurred last week in Durg, has since gone viral, with many dubbing the man a “superhuman” for his miraculous survival.

The unbelievable incident

The video, shared widely on social media, shows the man, identified as Tejaraj Nayak, standing on the roof with a long stick in his hand. After moments of bizarre behavior, he jumped from the roof, but instead of landing on the ground, he crashed into the high-tension wires, sending massive sparks into the air. The crowd below screamed in shock as the electric shock from the wires rendered Nayak unconscious. His limp body landed on a first-floor balcony, leading many to believe that he had perished in the fall.

A miraculous recovery

In an unexpected turn of events, Nayak suddenly sprang to his feet and began throwing bricks at the police officers and bystanders gathered around the building. Despite the earlier shock, he showed no signs of injury and continued his erratic behavior. The scene left both the onlookers and the authorities stunned.

Background and mental health concerns

Reports later revealed that Nayak, a resident of Kalahandi, Odisha, had come to Durg from Hyderabad for his child's treatment. It remains unclear why he left the hospital and climbed onto the roof of the building. The police were called to the scene after locals expressed concern for his safety. As officers arrived, they attempted to calm him down, but Nayak’s actions became increasingly erratic. Witnesses reported that he began throwing bricks and stones, damaging nearby vehicles. Despite the efforts to restrain him, Nayak managed to break free and continued his chaotic actions until the police were finally able to overpower him.

Police intervention and medical assistance

The police eventually restrained Nayak after a chaotic struggle and transported him to a district hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have not released further details about his health or the possible mental health concerns that may have led to the bizarre behavior. This incident has sparked widespread conversations online, with many expressing their disbelief at the man’s miraculous survival and speculating about the possible reasons behind his actions.
