In the city of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday, a man carrying a pistol shot and killed a woman and her male companion during an argument. The man then killed himself with the same weapon, according to an official. The police believe the incident was the result of a triangle romance.

Here's more on the happenings

Abhishek Yadav, 26, fatally shot Snehlata Jat, 22, and her companion Deepak Jat, 25, at the Swaminarayan Temple complex on Khandwa Road, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Hrishikesh Meena. Yadav used a pistol made in the nation. Then, he alleged, he shot himself with the same handgun that the police had found. According to the police officer, investigations are ongoing to determine the precise cause of the killings, even though the tragic tragedy appears to be the result of a triangle love affair.

Eyewitnesses estimate that the three were conversing for approximately thirty minutes before the murder-suicide took place. Two years ago, Abhishek Yadav and Snehlata had a friendly relationship. Snehlata had been keeping her distance from the accused, though, and this had greatly distressed him, according to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Anand Yadav.

Shot twice!

Deepak Jat was shot twice by the accused in the beginning. He then fired two shots into Snehlata Jat, who clung to him in horror, the police officer stated. He continued, saying that after killing the two, Abhishek Yadav fled frantically and eventually made his way onto the grounds of a private college, where he pulled the trigger on the handgun while resting it on his temple.

Meena stated that the accused was from the Madhya Pradesh district of Sehore. According to the police, the accused was booked into jail and a piece of cloth used in the crime was found.
