A viral video captured an unconventional move by the police as they drove into the emergency ward of AIIMS Rishikesh in Uttarakhand to arrest a nursing officer accused of sexual harassment against a woman doctor. According to the information, surgery was going on in the operation theater of AIIMS Rishikesh on the evening of 19 May. During the same time, the female doctor posted in the surgery department was molested by Nursing Officer Satish Kumar.Doctors went on strikeProtesting against this matter, the doctors of the hospital went on strike and started demonstrating demanding strict action against the accused. AIIMS doctors also surrounded the Deans office. A case has been registered against him under relevant sections and he has been taken into custody. This entire matter is being investigated. Uttarakhand Women Commission Chairperson Kusum Kandwal had also met the AIIMS administration regarding the incident and demanded an investigation into the matter and action against the accused.Regarding the incident, police officials said that on May 21, the victim doctor gave a written complaint at Kotwali Rishikesh saying that on May 19, Nursing Officer Satish Kumar at Trauma OT Complex AIIMS physically harassed and threatened her. On the basis of the complaint, immediate action has been taken by registering a case and action is being taken against the accused.
