A disturbing incident unfolded in Pakistan's Lahore, where a woman was reportedly thrown off the upper floor of a house by her in-laws over a disagreement about spicing chicken. The shocking event, captured on CCTV, has sparked outrage on social media platforms.

On March 9, near Shalimar Road in Lahore's Nonarian Chowk, a woman named Maryam was allegedly pushed from a building by her in-laws. The CCTV footage depicts the horrifying moment when Maryam falls from the building.

Following the fall, Maryam sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. Reports indicate that she is currently undergoing treatment for her critical injuries.

Police arrests accused

Law enforcement officials responded to the incident and registered a case against the main culprits involved – Maryam's husband, her mother-in-law Shazia, and brother-in-law Romaan. The police have arrested the accused and launched a thorough investigation. 

The video footage captures a young girl from a neighboring house reacting to the ruckus. She witnesses Maryam's fall and hurriedly retreats into her home, closing the door behind her. Moments later, Maryam plunges to the ground, suffering serious leg injuries upon impact.

Suspected suicide attempt

Concerned neighbors rush to Maryam's aid upon hearing her cries. Some witnesses speculate that Maryam may have attempted to take her own life due to alleged mistreatment by her in-laws. Authorities are probing into this angle as part of their investigation into the distressing incident.
