Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh: A 10-year-old boy was severely punished in Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh. A video of this incident is allegedly going viral on social media, in which the boy is allegedly stealing and eating a cookie costing Rs 2. When the shopkeeper discovered that the youngster had consumed biscuits from his shop without making a payment, he bound the boys hands and legs to a pole and thrashed him.The youngster was brutally beaten up by the shopkeeper and three other individuals, and shockingly, no one stepped up to help. Everyone around only watched from a distance. The shopkeeper was then detained, and charges were pressed against him when the incidents footage went viral and the authorities became aware of it.Heart-wrenching incidentThe shopkeeper, Baburam, and three other individuals kicked and smacked the child. Additionally, the youngster was tied to a pole by the shopkeeper, who left him there overnight as he cried out for assistance. Later, the young man ran away after managing to release himself. The shopkeeper was detained and booked by the police as soon as they learned of the incident. Police are questioning the shopkeeper who physically assaulted the youngster and gave him severe punishment, but the boy has not been found. If the video had not gone viral, the people who mistreated the boy would still be free to roam.
