New Delhi: In a chilling turn of events, a murder case has emerged from Jashpur Munadi, shedding light on the tragic demise of a lover who trespassed into his daughters residence. The father, accused of orchestrating the murder, has been apprehended by the authorities and incarcerated.Who did whatAccording to police reports, the accused, identified as late Sarju Ram Chauhan, aged 44, and father of Sameer Kumar Chauhan, resided in Sakin Tamamunda police station, Farsabahar district, Jashpur. Sarju Ram Chauhan had been employed at Solution India Pvt. Ltd. as a laborer for the past eight years. The unfortunate incident transpired on the afternoon of November 29, 2023.What happenedOn that fateful day, Sameer Kumar Chauhan embarked on a journey from Gharghoda to his village, Tamamunda. However, instead of reaching his intended destination, he diverted to Kotba. Coincidentally, the accused learned of Sameer Chauhans unauthorized entry into his daughters quarters located in Kotba. Enraged by this discovery, the accused proceeded to confront his daughters unwelcome visitor.Upon arriving at his daughters rented abode, the accused was confronted with the sight of Sameer Chauhan inside the premises. In a fit of anger, the accused ruthlessly attacked Sameer with an iron rod, rendering him unconscious. Subsequently, the accused notified Sameers son, Harsh Kumar Chauhan, of his fathers transgression. Harsh Kumar Chauhan and his family rushed to the scene where Sameer lay injured.Medical response, police interventionSameer Chauhan, gravely injured from the assault, was initially provided first aid in Kotba before being transferred to Medical College Raigarh on December 7, 2023. Tragically, Sameer succumbed to his injuries during medical treatment.The police were promptly informed of the incident, leading to the initiation of formal legal proceedings. Following meticulous investigation, including on-site inspections and testimonies, the accused was found culpable for Sameer Chauhans untimely demise.Legal action takenBased on the evidence gathered, the police formally charged the accused under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code for murder.
