In Vadodara, Gujarat, a man and five other people were taken into custody for providing samosas filled with cow flesh to patrons without their knowledge. Following receipt of the tip, authorities searched the "Hussaini Samosa" store in the Chhipwad region on Saturday, seizing hundreds of kg of beef-based samosa filling and sending it for FSL testing. Six people were then taken into custody by the police, including four of the shop's owners, according to the Times of India. Six people were booked and taken into custody after the tests revealed that the stuffing contained cow meat, according to DCP (zone 4), Panna Momaya.

The owner gets nabbed!

Yusuf Sheikh and Naeem Sheikh have been recognized as the owners; Hanif Bhathiyara, Dilawar Pathan, Moin Habdal, and Mobin Sheikh are the other four employees. According to the police report, a lot of individuals in the city ate these samosas, thinking they were meat samosas. "Every day, the owners would make large batches of kachha samosas (not fried), which they would then deliver to stores all over the city to be fried and served to patrons. They were once meat samosas that the Sheikhs sold to retail store owners," Momaya said.

How did the Accused Functioned?

The five-story facility where the accused operated included a room that was transformed into a deep freezer for the purpose of storing cattle and other meat. One of the people detained, Yusuf Sheikh, admitted to the police during questioning that he had joined his father's samosa sales business.

However, further examination showed that they are not even authorized to run the store. The duration of the proprietors' sale of samosas laced with beef is being investigated, the DCP added. According to Yusuf, he liked cow meat better than buffalo or goat meat since it was less expensive and produced higher profits. A probe is ongoing to find out where the accused obtained the beef meat.
