Shark Tank India 3: Startup reveals Ishant Sharma as brand ambassador during pitch, judges react

The first pitchers of the day are Purvi Roy and Atul Gupta, the founders of smart travel essentials by Arista Vault. To provide a hassle-free experience, they provide a variety of smart wallets, follow-me suitcases, fingerlock bags, and more such products. They pitched 1.5% equity, or Rs 45 lakh.

The founders disclose that cricketer Ishant Sharma serves as their brand ambassador while talking about stats. The price point seems expensive to the sharks as well.

Panelists entertain viewers

Anupam, Aman, Radhika, and Vineeta provide a light-hearted moment by sitting on the luggage and riding on it. Aman and Anupam test-drive the suitcases first. Let's race, Anupam says. Instead, Anupam and Aman run into each other while riding the bags.

Feedback from panelists 

Vineeta notes that the brand name is presented in different fonts across different locations. Varun, Vineeta, Aman, and Radhika feeling that the travel essentials are tech-heavy suggest that the company's branding be revisited.

Despite the panelists feeling that there was a need for improvement one panelist still saw potential in the business idea. Anupam was open to negotiating with the founders. 

Deal closed successfully? 

Panelists Radhika, Varun, Vineets, and Aman decided to opt-out. However, Auman offered a deal of Rs 30 lakh debt + Rs 15 lakh for 1% equity at an interest of 18% spanning over 2 years.

The offer was revised by the founders and on a conditional offer the deal was sealed. The deal was finalized at Rs 25 lakh debt + Rs 20 lakh for 1% equity at an interest of 18% spanning over 2 years. Purvi Roy and Atul Gupta secured a successful business deal with panelist Anupam.
