Spiritual guide and founder of the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, had emergency brain surgery at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi. Over the past four weeks, Sadhguru has been suffering from excruciating headaches. Upon examination, physicians discovered that his brain was swollen and heavily bleeding. As a result, surgery was necessary.

Details on what is happening

Details on the same were provided by Senior Consultant Neurologist Vinit Suri of Apollo Hospital in Delhi, who stated that Sadhguru was in a 'life-threatening situation.' In addition to the bleeding, a CT scan indicated a significant enlargement in his brain.

Sadhguru reportedly had a headache for the last four weeks, and the headache was very severe, which he was ignoring because he wanted to do his daily activities. The pain became severe on March 15, when he contacted a neurologist, Dr. Vinit Suri. The doctor soon knew there was something sinister happening.

Sadhguru's dilemma

On March 17, Sadhguru's condition suddenly deteriorated, accompanied by a noticeable increase in headache intensity and frequent vomiting. At last, he was allowed in. A CT scan showed a significant rise in brain oedema and a potentially fatal lateralization of the brain.

Medical supervision

Under the supervision of a group of medical professionals (Drs. Vinit Suri, Pranav Kumar, Sudheer Tyagi, and S Chatterjee), he had emergency brain surgery to stop the bleeding in his skull a few hours after being admitted. After surgery, Sadhguru was weaned off of the ventilator. The physician went on to say that an MRI revealed extensive brain haemorrhage in him. He had surgery thereafter.

Health updates of Sadhguru

Sadhguru has made consistent improvement, returning to normal in terms of his body, mind, and vital signs. Dr. Suri stated, "Sadhguru is healing himself, apart from the medical procedures established by us. His recovery has been considerably better than predicted." From a hospital bed in Delhi, Sadhguru himself provided updates on his surgical process.

Even though he was still suffering from a terrible headache, Sadhguru travelled to the nation's capital to attend several meetings and a conclave.
