RPF official speaks on the happenings

While speaking on the incident, RS Sharma, Inspector, Railway Protection Force (RPF), told the media that, on Thursday, the DPC train—which railway officials use for inspections—broke down outside the Nihalgarh Railway Station. As a result, workers were dispatched to push the train inside the station. After the issue was fixed, the train continued on to its destination.

Trains might need a push after all!

Another incident occurred last month when a number of people at the Vashi station in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, banded together to try to push a suburban train in order to rescue a guy who was stuck beneath it. Railway authorities emphasized to travellers to use foot over bridges and underpasses for their safety after confirming that trespassing on the tracks was the cause of the tragedy.
