People were inappropriately dressed: Jitan Ram Manjhi shares reason for not attending Ambani's wedding

New Delhi: Anant Ambani, the younger son of the nation's richest industrialist Mukesh Ambani, got married with Radhika Merchant on July 12. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the many celebrities in attendance, both from India and overseas.

Nevertheless, some guests declined the invitation and did not show up for Anant Ambani's wedding. Jitan Ram Manjhi, a former chief minister of Bihar and current union minister, is one of them. Jitan Ram Manjhi refrained from attending Anant Ambani's wedding ceremonies.

Talking about the reasons for not attending Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding, Jitan Ram Manjhi said that some of the people who attended Ambani's son's wedding were in inappropriate dresses. He said that some people were wearing such clothes that their entire body parts were visible, in such a situation how could we take our wife, daughter-in-law and daughter there?

While speaking to the media, the Union Minister said that he got the invitation and has sent his best wishes to the couple.

According to the sources, Jitan Ram Manjhi said, “I got the invitation to attend Anant Ambani's wedding, but due to some reasons I could not attend. I have sent my best wishes to Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. The Union Minister said these things during a program when he was asked a question regarding Ambani's wedding.”

The Union Minister, citing Indian culture said, “Whatever was there, was visible, our family could not adapt to those circumstances, so I thought it appropriate to distance myself from the wedding program. He also said that we come from a simple family. The people who attended Mukesh Ambani's wedding were from the upper class, whose dressing and eating habits are different.”

Meanwhile, it is important to note that Prime Minister Narendra Modi to many famous personalities attended Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding. Lalu Yadav's family, Chirag Paswan and other leaders from Bihar also attended the wedding. Apart from this, Chief Ministers and other prominent leaders and celebrities were part of the ceremonies.
