The Bihar Education Department has announced that as of April 1, guest instructors from all throughout the state will no longer be employed. On Monday, the unemployed guest teachers held a sit-in protest in front of the CM mansion. The guest instructors who were demonstrating were struck by police batons. The teachers, on the other hand, claim that after accepting the position, they are now being beaten with sticks. They claimed that this episode demonstrates how badly Bihar's educational system is doing. For the past few years, guest teachers have been requesting permanent positions. Let us tell you this:. They demanded things, but the administration refused, and they were fired.

The arrival of regular teachers eliminates there purpose

In actuality, the education administration had invited guest teachers due to the teacher shortage in Bihar's schools. These educators have also been routinely employed by schools for the previous six years. The government has now made the decision to stop supporting them. Regarding this, the education department has written to every district education official. Kanhaiya Prasad, the director of the education department, is the one who sent out the letter. In his letter, the director stated that the education department had directed, on January 25, 2018, that guest instructors be hired for schools experiencing a teacher shortage. 4257 guest instructors were assigned to schools based on the instructions.

According to a letter from Kanhaiya Prasad, the Director of the Education Department, there are currently 37,847 regular teachers appointed for classes 9–10, 56,891 for classes 11–12, and 94,738 regular teachers appointed for higher secondary schools. They are currently posted at schools as well. As a result, it is not necessary to keep using guest teachers. As a result, these educators ought to be fired from their positions and a certificate stating that their district is currently free of guest teachers ought to be sent to the appropriate department.

Action is to be taken!

The Director of the Education Department has asked all district education officers to guarantee compliance with this letter starting on April 1, 2024. A certificate stating that there are currently no guest teachers employed in any district schools should be provided to the department by each district education officer. April 3, 2024, is the deadline for submitting a certificate to that effect. This only indicates that, effective April 1, the guest teachers will not be employed under any circumstances. This is seen by the guest professors as an insult. They claim to have been teaching students in schools nonstop for the past six years. Their job was terminated by the department as the sole outcome.
