An emergency landing was necessary on Monday due to an alleged suicide attempt by a passenger in the aircraft restroom, which created a worrisome scenario for the flight crew.

Where did it happen?

The event happened on Friday on an EVA Air flight from Bangkok, Thailand, to London. Crew members found the person in the restroom as the aircraft descended; it was believed that they were making an attempt at self-harm.

Officials states

The incident on the BR67 Bangkok-London flight on March 15 was confirmed by EVA Air, while the name of the London airport in question remained undisclosed. Taiwanese airline EVA Airways Corporation has its main office in Taoyuan City. Together with China Airlines, a state-owned airline, it is one of Taiwan's two biggest carriers. In January, however, Taiwan's EVA Air and Airbus completed a formal contract for the acquisition of fifteen single-aisle A321neos and eighteen long-range A350-1000s. As a result, the airline becomes the most recent international carrier to decide to use the A350-1000 for its foreseeable long-haul needs. In addition, the carrier's regional network will see new levels of efficiency thanks to the A321neo aircraft.
