Tragically, 73-year-old seasoned classical singer Pankaj Udhas has passed away suddenly. The singer's daughter, Nayaab Udhas, revealed his passing on February 26 following a prolonged illness.

Sonu Nigam, the poppular playback singer from Bollywood, expressed his condolences for the renowned vocalist on his Instagram page. He went haed to write on the loss of one of the most significant aspects of Nigam's early years that passed away. He further writes down to describe his love for Pankaj Udhas, and he always will. For his contributions to Indian pop music and Hindi film, Pankaj Udhas was well-known. His ghazal album "Aahat" brought him recognition in 1980, and he went on to have success with songs like "Mukarar," "Tarrannum," and "Mehfil." His "Chitthi Aayee Hai" song from the movie "Naam" shot to fame.

With his beautiful voice and moving words, Pankaj Udhas captivated fans with a string of CDs and live performances all over the world. In addition, Pankaj Udhas was bestowed with other honours for his services to the music industry, including the Padma Shri, India's highest civilian honour, in 2006.He was seventy-two when he passed away.
