Noida Police goes tough on Elvish Yadav; files 1,200-page chargesheet in Snake Venom case

Elvish Yadav was arrested on March 17 and was sent to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the smuggling of snake venom

In the most recent update in the snake venom case against the YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav, along with eight other people, have been charged with 1,200 pages by Noida Police in a Surajpur court. According to the sources, the police have submitted the chargesheet that includes statements from 24 witnesses.

Noida Police has been gathering information regarding cases including in Noida and Gurugram. The chargesheet also mentions the results from the Jaipur lab. Apart from this, videos, call logs, and other electronic evidence about the case have been included. 

Eight others, including five snake charmers, were taken into custody after a formal complaint against Elvish Yadav was filed in November of last year. Notably, Elvish Yadav was arrested on March 17 and was later produced in court and was sent to 14-day judicial custody.

The YouTuber was charged under provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, the Wildlife Protection Act and the Indian Penal Code.
